Michael Pietronico - Founding Partner |
Mr. Pietronico is CEO, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Credit Analyst for MTAM. Prior to forming MTAM, he was Senior Portfolio Manager at Evergreen Investments. During his tenure at Evergreen, Mr. Pietronico was recognized by Morningstar Incorporated as a Five-Star Municipal Bond Fund Portfolio Manager. Mr. Pietronico has also earned multiple Lipper Performance Achievement Awards during his tenure managing municipal bond funds over the last decade. He was recognized by Lipper as the number one ranked intermediate municipal bond fund portfolio manager over the last ten years (as of 12/6/07) in three separate categories (National, NewYork, and California). He was recognized by Bloomberg Wealth Manager Magazine as "Best of Breed" in October 2004. Prior to joining Evergreen, Mr. Pietronico was Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, and Head Municipal Bond Trader at OffitBank. Prior to joining OffitBank, Mr. Pietronico worked at Discount Corporation of New York in various capacities before leaving the firm in 1992 as a Repurchase Agreement Trader. Joseph M. Salvatore - Director of Credit Research |
Joseph M. Salvatore joined Miller Tabak Asset Management in October 2008 as Senior Municipal Credit Analyst. Mr. Salvatore has analyzed municipal bond credits since 1990. At MTAM, Mr. Salvatore reviews and approves (or denies) all municipal bonds before purchase and assigns internal ratings and credit trends to all municipal holdings. He evaluates new credit opportunities and continuously monitors existing holdings. Sell recommendations are made to the Portfolio Manager, prior to market recognition, if a holding's credit is determined to be declining. Mr. Salvatore maintains strategic relationships with issuers, rating agencies, and credit enhancers. In addition to researching a bond's specific credit features, he also focuses on a security's legal issues and security structure. Mr. Salvatore has authored several special reports on timely municipal market subjects. Prior to joining MTAM, he was a municipal consultant for MacKay Shields (New York Life Insurance Company's investment subsidiary). He was responsible for the credit research of all municipal assets and made buy/sell recommendations with the criteria of no defaults and no surprise rating downgrades. Prior to this experience, Mr. Salvatore spent 16 years at BlackRock in their Fixed Income Municipal Credit Research Department where he became a Director. He conducted municipal credit research and financial analysis for top-ranked investment funds and wrote and presented municipal credit reviews for a wide variety of sectors (tax-backed, healthcare, higher education, housing, water and sewer, resource recovery, transportation, lease revenue, high yield). Mr. Salvatore was responsible for the surveillance of over $50 billion in municipal bonds, predicted industry trends and developments, acted as the Project Manager for the money market portfolio, and assured compliance with Rule 2a-7 and other internal regulations. He also participated in client meetings and conference panels and mentored and monitored other analysts in the credit group. Blackrock's municipal credit database was designed with direction from Mr. Salvatore, and after implementation, he controlled the system to ensure its integrity. He is an active member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Mr. Salvatore holds an MBA from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Mr. Salvatore is also a history buff, sports enthusiast, and amateur chef. |

Dominick Mirenda - Director of Portfolio Administration |
Dominick Mirenda joined Miller Tabak Asset Management in January 2012 as Director of Portfolio Administration. Prior to joining MTAM, Mr. Mirenda was Vice President / Operations Manager at Inverness Counsel from 2000-2010. During his time at Inverness Counsel, Mr. Mirenda's responsibilities included Database Management, Portfolio Administration, Client Billing, Portfolio Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, Performance Measurement, and Vendor Relationship Manager with various pricing service vendors and portfolio accounting system providers. Prior to joining Inverness Counsel, Mr. Mirenda was employed at Offitbank from 1987-2000 in various capacities such as Assistant Portfolio Manager and Operations Supervisor. From 1984-1987, Mr. Mirenda was in the Pension Services department at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and, from 1978-1984, was at the Bank of New York in Security Operations and Custody Administration. Mr. Mirenda holds a BS in Management from Saint Francis College and has completed the Operations Supervision two-year program at the American Institute of Banking. |

Violeta Pietronico - Director of Client Administration |
Mrs. Pietronico joined MTAM in March of 2011 and acts as a liason with the hundreds of advisors who utilize our service. Mrs. Pietronico works directly with the clients of MTAM assisting them with the documentation and procedural questions they may have. Violeta monitors new client assets as they arrive for our management through Advent Portfolio Software, and is charged with alerting the portfolio management team of the specific levels of customization that our clients often request. Violeta also works directly with the broker/dealer community to ensure all client trades are processed correctly. Violeta is also charged with maintaining the firm's client database, and her extensive technical skills have helped MTAM provide the customized reporting that our clients periodically require. Violeta is also fluent in Spanish. |

John Konecky - Director of New Business Development |
John Konecky joined Miller Tabak Asset Management as the Director of New Business Development in March of 2011. He will be taking a lead role in broadening our client base with particular emphasis on brokerage platform opportunities. Mr. Konecky has thirty years of experience in financial services sales and sales management with brokerage and asset management companies. Prior to joining MTAM, he was a Divisional Sales Manager with Evergreen Investments (a division of Wachovia Corp., a Wells Fargo Co.). He was responsible for marketing Separately Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, and Variable Annuities through Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly Wachovia Securities), Regional Broker Dealers, and Independent Advisors nationwide. He and his teams of wholesalers raised over $10 billion dollars in assets during his tenure there which began in 2000. Prior to Evergreen, Mr. Konecky was a Senior Sales Manager at Chase Investment Services, Corp. In that role, he worked with the President of CISC to create, design, and implement strategic initiatives which included the Series 6 Licensed Branch Employee program, and the Chase Investment Telephone Sales Group. Mr. Konecky graduated from Colgate University. Certifications: FINRA Series 7, 24, 8 (aka 9 & 10), 4, 63, and 65. |

Evan Pietronico - Portfolio Manager |
Evan Pietronico joined Miller Tabak Asset Management in June of 2018 as a Junior Portfolio Manager. Evan is responsible for assisting the portfolio management team with trade execution, credit analysis, and acting as a liason with the operation areas of the various firms MTAM trades with. Evan will also be charged with monitoring the firm's cybersecurity efforts. Evan graduated with honors from the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication. |
